Witness Trees

Witness trees are some of my favorite meaningful things to seek out in new places--standing under the shade of one, looking at the landscape today, imagining the tree as a sapling witnessing what happened in front of it. It feels like a magic portal to slip back in time and into the moment where something world-changing happened.
