1988 Rollneck™ sweater in cotton

The sweater that launched a thousand imitators. I have an original one that's made of mercerized cotton, which is cotton that has been treated with sodium hydroxide. The colors are brighter, there's a slight shine (in a good way), and it shrinks much less. The yarn is also slightly stiffer which is perfect for this particular sweater. Mine lives in my sailing bag and has only gotten better over the years. Even if you're a woman, get the men's version (far superior), and size UP because this is should be oversized.
