As the daughter of a soldier this book helped me to understand what it's like, what happens, how it happens, what we don't see on our screens safe at home in our American houses. I first read this book during the height of the war in Iraq, another war with a start like Vietnam. It's a book that opened my eyes. It's a book that everyone should read NOW.
